LPN Emergency Department

The Emergency Department is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse to join their team. The LPN/LVN is responsible and accountable for direct and indirect nursing care of patients. She/He is specialized in assisting the RN in interventions, stabilizing a variety of medical and trauma patients with decisive action. Due to the range of medical conditions that may require urgent treatment and care, the candidate must be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues.  She/he is also responsible for the direction and supervision of personnel assigned to her/him. The candidate must be knowledgeable in the care of the pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patient and be a graduate from an approved school of nursing. Previous experience is preferred. To be considered for this position the candidate must be a graduate from an approved school of Nursing and be actively licensed with the NC Board of Nursing. The schedule for this position is 11AM-11PM with rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Licensed as a LPN/LVN in the state of North Carolina. 
  • Graduate from an approved school of Nursing.
  • Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
  • AHA BLS required; ACLS, PALS, BTLS or TNCC preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
